ConnectWise Fortify for Assessment offers a questionnaires that help identify an organization’s risks and provide guidance on how to mitigate those risks. Based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework, the questionnaire and resulting report are a good first step towards understanding risks and how to improve cybersecurity.

Security Assessment
Your In-Depth Security Assessment
Mission Critical Systems provides in-depth security assessments, where an IT and cybersecurity expert performs a hands-on assessment of an organization’s infrastructure and policies. The resulting report includes an overall Assessment Score, a list of any found vulnerabilities/issues and how to remediate them, a list of additional recommendations on how to improve overall security, and access to the Security Score Worksheet where remediated items can be recorded to track progress and improve the Assessment Score.
Endpoint Protection
Endpoints are the computers and servers within an organization, and are typically the entry point for malware and data breaches. Effective endpoint protection is critical to an organization’s security stance. ConnectWise Fortify for Endpoints pairs the leading Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) product SentinelOne with a 24x7x365 monitored Security Operations Center (SOC) that responds.
Security Awareness Training
While an organization’s employees may be its most valuable asset, they are also its largest risk. The majority of malware infections and data breaches occur through actions an employee takes, either inadvertently or on purpose. KnowBe4 offers both training and testing for end users. Trainings include general cybersecurity best practices, recognizing insider threats, and how to spot phishing attempts. The testing portion includes recurring random phishing-like emails, “found” USB drives, and even phone-based vishing voicemails. The management console tracks each user’s progress in training modules and successes/failures in tests to provide a comprehensive view on risky.

Multi-Factor Authentication
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an additional layer of verification on logins and sensitive data that can be vital to preventing unauthorized access when a password is compromised. Duo adds MFA to a number of services, including Windows and Mac logins, Office 365, VPN, firewalls, and a host of cloud services.
Network Monitoring
Perch Security (ConnectWise Fortify for Networks) is a Security Information and Event Manager (SIEM) that collects logs from network devices: firewall, switches, servers, virtual hosts, workstations, Office 365, etc. The logs are analyzed for potential malicious or anomalous behavior and will alert the 24x7x365 SOC to take action when an event is found.
Backup and Recovery
The ability to reliably backup and recover data is critical to an organization’s survival. Acronis Cloud Backup provides safe, reliable backups of servers into a secure cloud for offsite storage. Barracuda Cloud-to-Cloud Backup backs up Office 365 and Azure data to a separate cloud service to protect it from unexpected outages and data loss.
